A few years back my wife declared "No more camping for me"
The past 4 weeks we have been hitting the local ATV trails once or twice a week. I have been doing a little hiking in the local National Forest without her.
Ive even seen enough local elk sign I may consider my solitude Fridaynight Saturday hunt for a more conventional in the woods hunting where I could hunt any evening.
Anyway ny wife and I hit the Lem"hi" Mts for two days of ATVing, Seemed like there was fresh elk track most places we looked. We did see one small bull and two cows. a few deer and moose too.
I was surprised we saw elk track at 5500 feet to nearly the top where we took these pics at 10400.
Also thought those that dont live in the Rockies may like the pics
I think the elk will be in the basin on the upper left, its steep and dark

I really enjoy getting out. Lots of vistas out west
Coming from the flatlands of southern Minnesota I traded great fishing for great places to ride and hike ( oh and married a se I daho women)
