I consume my fair share of MH and other varieties of freeze dried chow during my annual excursions into the elk woods. What do u cats use to spice em up? I like this brand. A bottle lasts the whole two + weeks.

Love the CHOLULA sauce but I haven't tried the chipotle yet. Didn't bring anything because of the extra weigh but I can see where that would be a nice extra.

Another option if you don't want to pack a bottle of hot sauce is to "acquire" a handfull of the hot sauce packets from a fast food restaurant and throw them in your pack ;)

Easeup, is that air freshener or a fire extinguisher by your commode? Both items may be relevent for long term dehydrated meal useage :D

The convenience stores always have taco (hot) sauce in packets for the microwaveable burritos. A handful of these are awesome, free, and light for packing.

I've read a lot of post over the years about guys spicing up MH and MREs. I kinda figure if it's bad enough you have to do that, maybe it's time to find something better to eat.

To the partner I hunt with, spicing up means eating it hot. Heartwood routinely eats Mountain House cold, as he doesn't pack any kind of stove.

Cholula is good, but I prefer Tapatio. I don't care for Tobasco or any other sauce that has too much vinegar.
