well. my doctor just grounded me..no opening day deer.

she says i have a viral infection in my lungs. my intake is diminished. she said a long hike at high elevation wearing a heavy pack is crazy to attempt.

she wont stop me, but strongly suggest i postpone. my army medical friend concurs.

oh well. live to hunt another day!!

just packing my pack today winded me. i did get it down to 45lbs with water!! hehehe... oh well, next year fellas!! i have other hunts to get healthy for. my timing blows :)

funny, this is the "doc's office" :D

That is terrible. The timing could not be worse. Are there any late season hunting opportunities you take advantage of? I would like to tell you to suck down some good antibiotics and go for it, but you better listen to the real doctor.
I always worry a little that this could happen to me. My son in law just separated his shoulder on Saturday and it looks like his archery season is toast, before he can get started.

Sorry to hear any fellow hunter will have to miss a season, especially for health reasons. Get healthy and hopefully you will be back at it later THIS season.

Team was jinxed. Another buddy broke his collar bone last week.

I have a few other hunts planned. No biggie.

Take care of yourself first, the animals will appreciate having another year time to grow bigger for when you can get after them.
