It looks like tonight, or sometime tomorrow, we are going to add another member to our family. The wife just called and said she was having some pretty good contractions and thinks she is in the beginning stages of labor, so I am wrapping things up in the office and prepping for a long weekend. This will be our 2nd, so I'm not as nervous as I was the first time (I was a hilarious mess when I saw my son for the first time, Lol). We opted to not find out the sex of baby Halsey #2, so the anticipation is killing me, now that the time is here. Her due date is this Sunday, and we have 10 fingers and 10 toes, so everything should go smoothly. Its weird, for me, maybe different for other parents, but I don't really care if its a boy or girl, as long as we have a happy, healthy baby! I have my hunting buddy already, my 2 1/2 year old son, Memphis, so if its a girl, I am OK with it, so Momma has someone to go do the girly things with while me and my lil' guy are hunting or fishing. But if it is a little girl, I am worried that I will 1; be broke forever from giving her whatever she wants or, 2; Go to jail, for the things I'll do to the first boy that ever breaks her heart.

Sounds great. I am with you. It does not matter if it is a boy or girl as long as it is happy and healthy. I am not sure girls cost more than boys though.

Congrats Mike...that's awesome!

If it's a girl...just make sure she knows how to handle boys. My daughter is 18, and she can certainly take care of herself...she has them swarming around her all the time, cleaning her house, buying her stuff, giving her a ride someplace if she needs it. I just sit back and laugh

Well, I'm 24 hours since my post, and still no baby. The contractions stopped about 730 last night, and there have been none to speak of just yet. The anticipation is killing me! I'm ready to meat my lil' "Shim" (that's what we nicknamed our baby, since we don't know if its a her or a him, Lol)! Hopefully by Monday I'll have a picture of the new one to post. Thanks for the support guys!
