Happy Father's Day to the Dads!

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 06 15, 2013 •  [Post 1]

What are you guys doing? I'm taking big red (that's a car by the way) for a drive to the Army post golf course for 18 holes. Kind of my tradition every Dad's day. Evening will see burnt animal flesh of some type on the grill. My only crumb snatcher will come down from up north for a dinner with my wife and I.

Just got back home from a 15 mile mtn bike ride with my oldest. Swimming pool and climbing wall later today with the family and tonight should see the last of my bulls back straps being consumed with a glass of single malt to wash it down...

For me the highlight of the day will be church and maybe a call or two from our children.

Went on an early morning Dirt Bike ride. Shoulder is feeling much better. Still can't rely on it too much for strength, so I'm compensating by using more legs (isn't easy). Nowhere near drawing my bow back, but when I got home from dirt biking, I got out my exercise band and did some reps with that.

Spent the afternoon with Wife and 16 mo Son. Just lit some coals on the barbecue and about to enjoy a tasty beer that Wifey got me for Father's Day.

Did I mention . . .

Wifey and Son bought me a GoLite Z10 Sleeping Bag for Father's Day!!! 850 down and it's a long, so it fits me.

Can't wait to try it out next weekend. :-)

Happy Father's Day fellow dads!

Did some fishing with my wife and kids.

My oldest daughter caught a nice bass.

I went up to see dad...he turned 80 this year. We had lunch together after church and it was good to see him smile.

my kids called to wish me well too. after all that I went down to the barn and talked to a couple of ponies.
It was very hot today however that is normal.

Here is to all of the Dads out there...our country sure needs more good fathers at home with their kids these days.

I grilled some items over coals and then we went down to a local pub and played some "Swing Ring"

My daughter wanted me to wear my DADDD tshirt she gave me [Dad's Against Daughters Dating Democrats] :)

It's days like today that I wish I didn't live 24 hr drive from our closest family! Me and the Mrs spent the day shooting bows, but it's a bummer missing out on family fun. I hope everyone with kiddo's had a great father's day! The best we got was daydreaming with dad about mule deer season in 10 weeks!

cnelk, looks like a beautiful day and a beautiful family. Don't worry; I'm sure you daughter will mature a little and open her mind ;) Just joking with ya! :)
