This is the best looking, best designed forum I have seen yet.
The colors pop, the lines are crisp, the ads are unobtrusive, and the forum itself commands most of the real estate. I wouldn't normally say anything but this is good enough I needed to give props. Very well done.

Agreed. ElkNutforums is like the perfect little escape cabin up in the mountains with a stream behind it. :D It's the escape that most of us only get while scouting and hunting, but from right here in the living room.

I agree Bob, great functionality as well.

Best part is, it was designed and is maintained by an elk hunter...great work, John! ;)

And the pages load quick. I hate sites where I click and it takes forever for anything to happen.

I don't care how lousy of a hunter they say John is; he does a good job of developing and managing this site. :D

the only thing I would like to see, and this is nitpicking, is I would like to be able to hole over a thread and get it to show up so I know if I wanna open it or not, like rokslide and archery talk does. other than that its perfect

I agree. I like the ability to navigate between forum topics without having to back up. (Think AT)

I agree with wapitibob and others. Presentation can make or break a forum. Someone should send this link to the guys at Rokslide. Who thought neon green on black was a good idea?

Thanks guys! We need to give Paul some props here as well. Him and I put our brains together for a month to come up with the best forum we could. My brain for the technical side and Paul's for the non- technical side(sorry Paul).

We also need to throw props to those that contribute every day to this forum(swede, cnelk,Indian summer,ww,phantom, lefty, easeup, bnsafe, feebird , pointysticks, dotman, theekhunter, and slim). Sorry if I forgot someone's name.

I like the idea of the hover. Will check into it! We are also working on an archive forum that allows easy access to vital and important information.

Swede - I'm still LMAO! :-)
