All you can do is cover a lot of ground and keep looking.
Was it cloudy and overcast? Windy? An area with low population density, maybe?

I had a tag in Oregon one time... in an area that was mostly private land.
I tried to get permission... no takers. Must not have liked my Portland plates!
I found a hunk of public land that was about 5x5 miles square.
Thought it would be good because there was a ton-o-goats on the adjacent private farmland!
I could only find one antelope on the public in 3 days of looking, but he was a buck. Stalked him about 12 times!
Came close, but I never did kill him.

I like days that are fairly calm... and bright and sunny for spotting antelope.
They're usually up on their feet if it's calm and the sunshine makes them glow like a firefly in a root cellar!

Never hunted antelope but I hear if you just head an hour north into Wyo.
Lots of Pdods to shoot on BLM and lots of speed goats too

Check out the BGAP lands. Some good otc lopes to be had on some of them. More in Wyo though and for $40 you can pick up a doe tag leftover. Also you can hunt bow season up there and if ya strike out you can go back and seek revenge with the rifle. :)

Love hunting antelope...just hate sitting in pits or blinds!!
Down here, we cant shoot pdogs anymore. Dang Humane Society put a stop to that!! They use that big vcuum to try to suck the dogs up to move them...what a joke!! Seen them try that in Farmington, and in three hours, only had five pdogs!! What a waste of money!!

Yes, during rifle. No, during archery. If youll shoot does there is a slam dunk 0 point muzzy doe tag for your backyard. You're probably aware of the area to which I refer.

Scott: Have you ever hunted antelope from a blind before? If not, get ready for the longest, hottest day of your life. LOL! To break the monotany you will need a good book to read. I always take a little pocket radio with an ear bud. And I have two collapsable coolers. One fits inside the other for double insulation. It will hold a couple of 20 oz diet Pepsis and at least a 1/2 gal. jug of frozen solid water and my sandwiches and treats. Instead of camo, you'll need a black shirt and black or dark glove on your bow hand. A dark hood on your face is recommended to put on when you see them coming in. A comfortable folding chair in a popup blind is a must.

Once I even painted the inside of my horse trailer black. I hung some camo netting over the back door and backed the thing up to a well used waterhole. I always thought a LazyBoy recliner would be great in it but never went that far. LOL!. Anyhow, the trailer worked great. After I got my antelope from it, I let my buddy use it and he connected from it as well.

Access to private?! Nice! Much better luck than we had with that last year. I was surprised, because I had been told ranchers hate pronghorn, but I think they thought us "city slickers"

I killed my only other lope out of a blind swede, got all the black stuff, coolers etc. i remember well the heat, it wasn't fun. my son wants to go so if he can get his bow up to a legal limit im gonna take him and let him shoot if they get close enuf. if it gets to miserable for him we will leave or go and spot an stalk.
as far as snakes brad, i think you prob know how well i like them things. absolutely terrified of a gardner snake, let alone a rattler. the first rattler i see im gonna wet myself and cry like a little girl, then walk limp legged back to the car. however, i don't let that fear keep me from hunting. i just go slow and look in every bush, rock, hole, dirt, tree, and cloud anywhere close. then i double check, always shake the blind twice before i get in. now im rethinking going just typing bout them. geez i hate snakes

There is a good chance you will find out how small a blind really is when a snake slithers in when you are in it too... ;)
