1st trip of this season about to happen for me..trout

oh lordie..

about to test some of my gear purchases. new sleep pad, new tent, new sleeping bag. (BA SL, go-lite shangri la 2, and my kifaru 20). first trip with trek poles too!

gonna head high into the Sierras for some native california trout fishing. 9 day, no shower, no civilization. 4 guys. i am so happy my brother is flying out from texas to go.

i hope and pray all my running and cycling, and mild hiking helps. this trip will get me prepped and gear test for my august Sierras mule deer hunt, in a different section of the mountain range.

anyone use the wilderness athlete stuff? i'm thinking drinking supplements.

Good luck! I personally don't buy into any high priced supplements. Nothing beats nuts and honey for energy packed snack.

Have fun. Check out Cocohydro. It's a natural electrolyte supplement that will help you stay hydrated. The pineapple one is awesome. Also, you can't go wrong with Gatorade powder. I work in an industry where we are always looking for help with staying hydrated and trying new things. It is probably as good or better than any of the so called fancier products.
