trout fishin

im goin trout fishin on either the big thompson or the poudre river monday and tues. should be very very interesting. ive fished for trout in mo in the state parks but its entirely different.

unless you go way up the way Poudre, the water is black with ash.
Big Thompson can fish pretty good.
Either river fishes good this times of year using Prince Nymphs

thanks, i will get some before i head up. wish they could add a few more regs in there, catch and release, catch an keep, barbs, no barbs, flies only, no plastics, only fish the south side of the north part of the east river. geez ya gotta be an engineer to figure it out.

just what i thought. i spent 5 hours either drivin or fishin and never got a bite. the current was something i havnt faced before and didnt do well with it. had a blast and loved the scenary though. i suck at fishin, even back home.

aw no biggy, i didnt figure i would actually catch anything, i have a hard time catchin a cold. huntins my game. fishin is just something to kill the time.

A successful fisherman will be determined to catch some fish. just a little more focus.

With these rising temps, the rivers will become un-fishable very soon.
You may want to try a local lake

there was alot of guys fishing but the current wasnt good. i only saw one other guy with a fish. i have no idea what a good day is out here. in mo at the trout parks if i didnt catch 25 or more a day it was a bad day. but those were raised trout an released daily.
easup i will catch some fish out here, but after 5 hours of not even a bite i am burned out for awhile. i know guys that are fishermen, they understand fish and water and how to do it, im a hack that gets lucky occassionally.
