ive got next week off and was thinking about checking into the wy bear season. anybody know if its open in the medicine bow mnt area by laramie. and is spot and stalk a legitamate chance or am i wasting time and money. i could go try an find some p dogs to shoot instead.

I can't really tell you about the hunt quality as I've never hunted bears there. Spot and stalk hunting black bears isn't the easiest thing to do in Wyoming as there isn't a GIANT population of them although I have killed 3 bears. 2 spring bears and 1 fall bear. They have all been more on the lines of spot and shoot as I've been that close when I've spotted them. Those areas are open if you're looking for a getaway in the mountains.

i wish i could, but this week off kinda came out of the blue so i didnt research alot. in hindsight i woulda done some things differently. maybe next year.
