i cant find any .22LR ammo. wow!

my brother and i have a squirrel hunt in AZ planned.

i have a vintage rifle..but i want a savage .22 to shoot as well. i thought i would get some ammo. there is NONE!

We just had a Cabelas open up around the corner from me, I go in a lot to see what new ammo they have. The 22cal are the hardest to come by, and they also have the tightest restrictions as far as how many boxes per customer. It was a mad house for a while, got most of what I needed, eventually.

it is around if you know the right places. I went in the local gun shop here in Craig, Colorado this morning. The customer at the counter ahead of me had 40 rounds of .223 and 100 rounds of .22LR. So when it came my turn, I said, "I'd like a box of .22s"

The owner of the shop said, "I don't have any".

So I said, " What was that you just sold the guy ahead of me"?

That was when the owner of the store turned and walked away from me. Hmmm!!! I guess won't be doing any more business with that guy anymore!!!

If you think about it, the 22 cal is probably the most popular caliber that has high capacity clips/magazines...

Yeah some of the local gun shops in KC are selling boxes of 525 for $80, I was lucky and picked some up from Dicks before they sold out recently, Federal in box of 525 for $20 but limit of 1 box per customer. Didn't take them long to sell out of the 45 boxes they had.

Wow I didnt realize it was that expensive.I saw on Craigslist someone had 500 round box of cheapos for $60 and thought they were nuts

Picked up some in Cedar Falls IA last week at a fleet and farm store for $21.99/555 rounds. I got two bricks and was very lucky.
