New Hunting Partner

Postby 7mmfan » 11 01, 2023 •  [Post 1]

Last Tuesday my wife and I welcomed our newest family member into the world. Little Kyler James made quite the entrance at 9# 15oz, 23" long, and a set of lungs that would make Mariah Carey jealous. With a late October birthday, I sure hope he takes up hunting so he can always enjoy time in the woods on his birthday.

The new kid is big enough to fit up to a pack frame now. He may require some extra training. Congrats. :D

For two parents who barely make 5' 8", we sure grow big kids. His big brother was almost 10# as welland has tracked in the 99th percentile for virtually all growth charts except weight. He's on track to be well over 6'. At 6 years old he's already 4' 3". I'm really looking forward to having a 2 legged pack string of big stout teenage boys in a few years.

They should be great hunting companions, but you will need a lot of venison on the table to keep them from constantly prowling the kitchen. They should be a lot of fun.

 Milk man is even shorter than me... and Chinese. I think we're safe there.

Wife's Grandpa and Uncle are both 6'4" big dudes, so it does run in her genes. Hopefully he's a better hunter than them though!
