We try to take out at least some of the trash we find. I know you all do as well. It makes a difference. It matters.

I take out all of my garbage down to the clips that seal a bag of bread. I leave my campsite clean including picking up other campers' junk, but I don't go out on any garbage gathering missions. When I worked for the Forest service, I used to pick up garbage that was lying around and place it in the bed of my pickup truck until I got back to the station dumpster. I think more of that should be done. In Oregon it is a pain to try to find an available dumpster even in town where you can dispose of garbage. If you go around picking up junk, you own it. For a camper that becomes a problem.

Im always picking up someone's mess.
Enough outdoorsmen leave enough mess where it looks bad for all of us.

When my kids were young we took grocery bags and gave them to many of the hunters on the swan hunt line on the Bear River Bird Refuge Three guys left full bags of empties where they had hunted but the rest packed them out.
Every camp I took Boy scouts on matter where we did a trash pick up
