New crew member

Postby wawhitey » 05 10, 2023 •  [Post 1]

We got a new crew member on the boat. The captain just bought this little chocolate lab puppy up here in alaska. So far hes super mellow, but i expect shenanigans. Hope he doesnt get sea sick.

Dog down! Nothing, I mean nothing is better than a lab with puppy breath to play with. Hide your slippers and anything chewable… chaos is not far away.

Little guy isnt content to sleep on the deck for long, he wants to be held. Then the trick is to try to drive the boat while holding the sleeping puppy, without disturbing his nap. And its impossible to do both things and drink coffee at the same time, so your coffee gets cold. Just got relieved of my puppy holding duties though so now i wont crash this thing and i can enjoy my cold coffee.

He needs a "bed" blanket. His safe zone where ever it is. I DO NOT condone spoiling dogs btw and would never do it myself...

I had two chocolate females over the years, great dogs. First one got out of the chewing up stage in about a year, second one it took over 3 years. Good luck on having the one year puppy.
Came home one day and the garden hose was in about 100 pieces in the yard with the longest about a foot.
