Need to stop leaving my house

Postby wawhitey » 11 08, 2022 •  [Post 1]

Up at my parents all afternoon, left with just enough time to get home before dark. Didnt set this clock back. Was on the road heading home from my parents house when my cell cam about 100 yards behind my house sent me this. Got home 2 minutes after shooting light. If id have been home i could have snuck into the timber and called to her.

As far as just stumbling into lions unintentionally, no, not very often, but it does happen. Off the top of my head i can think of 8 random chance, accidental lions ive encountered over the last 10 years. When that happens im either too caught off guard to get a shot off, or the season is closed, or in one case, i miss, twice.

Like you said Whitey, running into a cougar by accident is rare. I have seen several from my tree stand, and a few just traveling around the forest, but years go by when I see none.
