I'm no expert, but it looks like the bear ate a handgun?

That was my thought, looks like grain. I was thinking sweet cob or dry cob (corn oats barley).

Jumped it in the back of my property. Ton of turds right there, steaming fresh. It made oongaoonga noises at me, just like several years back i walked right into a sow with two cubs, inside of 20 yrds, and she made the same noise.

My closest neighbor west of me is about 700 yards away and im pretty certain he feeds cob to the deer year round. I bet if he was to put up a trail camera he would find out who hes really feeding.

Since there are no natural wild seeds available this time of year and bears don't Cache things away like a squirrel, I am going with Joe on this.

Agree with the sweet cob concept. Deer eat it, turkeys eat it, and bear seem to love it. Put a weekly bucket of apples with it and you can’t keep the bears off of it.

Is there anyone nearby with a small grain grainery and storing wheat, barley or rye?,,

A closer look if it is cob you should see be able to see the
milled corn. I baited some barley chicken feed, it looked the same in the barrel and the bear log on the ground!

Looks like he got into someones barrel of horse feed. Mostly oats. From the size of the turd I'd guess it wasn't a very large bear.
