What I heard is that you can get ahead of the Covid virus and get a false negative. If you believe you have just been exposed to the virus, remember it may not show up right away. Wait a day and test again to be sure.

Yup. That happened to me 1st go round last year before the vaccines. Tested neg then sick 2 days later and tested +. My sister in law had a 69 yr old friend who refused to get vaccinated and was killed by covid. Last words? I wish I had got the vaccine and not listened to the anti vac fear mongers. Not trying to start a fight, just having been a healthy guy who got it and knowing how bad it is- its not a game.

Pretty sure I have it right now. Sure glad I got vaccinated. It isn't just too bad, but any worse would not be fun. My wife is on the school board and the local doctors have a meeting with them weekly. They are noticing permanent lung scarring with patients who have had severe cases of Covid.

Glad to hear you had the vaccine. When I got sick it came in two stages-first stage was all flu like and weak but no lungs. It even abated enough that I triedt rifle hunting 3rd season. (Elkoholic, remember) That was stupid. It came back, hard. I limped home early and then I got it for real. You could tell it was serious.
I was scared.
It took a long time to fully recover. Now I am vaccinated and boosted.

In my extended family (cousin and nephew) there are two dead of Covid. My cousin was a hard-core unvaccinated conservative who thought that Jesus would protect her. I have a lot of other family members including my daughter that have suffered from the Covid. All I can say is that I am glad I am fully vaccinated. I would like to go hunting a few more years and be able to pack out a critter or a few.
Our pastor used to preach against being afraid of the Covid. He has quit that talk since his adult daughter has become a long hauler.
