Xmas bobcat

Postby wawhitey » 12 22, 2021 •  [Post 1]

My bobcat from last christmas came home last night. Man it looks great. They really are pretty animals. Almost a shame to shoot them. Almost.

Definitely a pretty hide. It looks good on your wall.

Gorgeous animal. The taxi did a good job with the head. I've seen some pretty... creative... bobcat heads.

The old man really knows what hes doing. Next up is my lifesize lion. Seems very few taxis can do good work on cats for some reason. Most turn out looking goofy and like a furry cartoon. Once pat retires i dont know that ill do any more mounts etc with cats. Probably just have hides tanned at that point and call it good.

Nice! What a great looking animal! Our trapping season opens Sunday, I got a bobcat tag this year, crossing my fingers

You need a tag in addition to your trapping license??? Here all you need is a trapping icense, and there is no bag limit. I bought a trapping license this year but havent felt like putting in the work. Zero traps set.

Tom, can you still use steel (leg hold) traps in PA?

Yes, for bobcat, fisher and otter you need a tag. Anyone who buys a trapping license prior to the season can buy one, their way of controlling and getting more cash from us.

Yes, we can still use steel leg traps here in PA
