Weather

Postby 7mmfan » 09 16, 2021 •  [Post 1]

Just the weather report you want to see as your backpack high mountain hunt approaches. Nothing like slogging in 7 miles in the pouring rain, to set up wet gear, and then sleep in the pouring rain all night, to then get up and sit in the clouds and pouring rain all day with no visibility, to then sleep in the pouring rain all night and then do it all again on Sunday just to hike out as the weather is breaking. Most of it with the snow level about 500' above us. I think we may be pulling the plug on this one.

Don't forget that gentle 44 mph breeze!

That is ugly weather. Build some husband points instead for future considerations!

That's my plan. There's plenty to do around the O'Connor ranchette.

Its been snowing off and on for the last couple days way up here in the beautiful chukchi sea. I better get used to it because it may be december before i get home. Probably just end up being one long extended winter for me.

We got up high into some snow today. Not much, just a dusting and some flakes flying by. Saw lots of deer today, no bears.
