The coyote wonders why hunters always leave the best parts in the woods?

Better not have been a hunter. A month after season, and no antlerless harvest allowed. He better have killed it himself or stole it from a lion kill or something. Lots of lion activity there.

If I shoot a bear this season, it is because of posts like Whitey's. Hi bear meat look very appetizing. I am pulling out early in the morning and heading for camp. I will be back to harass when the hunt is over. Best wishes and good luck to all of you.

They were larger chunks of backstrap i think. Unlabeled package. Cooked , put on a cutting board sliced up and threw back on the pan. I flipped em ovver for a minute after that pic. I take no chances with trichinosis. Always err on the side of caution. Good thing about bear is you can cook it well and it doesnt dry out like venison or beef. When i ate them they looked like this, but were still tender and juicy.

Shout out to alpine touch, site sponsor, their hickory smoke seasoning is the cats ass.

The fellow that really got me on bears this year Claims there is no bad bear meat,, just guys that don't take care of it. . He called me today,, legal baiting just started in Minnesota and he has some big boars still checking bait sites

Its whats for lunch today
I pile in the onion, and cook slow , I dont add much seasoning( Alpine touch too)

My lunch plate today.
Sliced up some loin and onion.
Put in the pan on low with a lid.
Ran to Home Depot, grabbed some pin nails for cabinet trim
( you may want to skip that step  )
Turned up to low medium, took the lid off. Added a tablespoon of butter .
Cooked the juices out, and let the butter carmalize.
.
Both dogs looked so hopeful by the kitchen table.

No jerk here with our dogs.
I cook saltless just for the dogs.. They just need to be patient.

My wifes lap dog is nearly deaf and has cateracts. But she knows what Im cooking.

And while were at it. bear is the dogs preferred meat
