Era irrelevant. Give me your top 2 or 3 war movies. The Patriot, The Deer Hunter, Saving Ryan, Dirty Dozen, etc. Let’s hear em.

A good one I hear!!

Its been a while but I liked "Black Hawk Down" A bit off of the war Theme, but The Hunt for Red October

I firmly believe every High School student should see "Private Ryan" and The Patriot and sit through one day of their states legislative session9:00 AM until adjourned for that day,,. somewhere around 2:00 , or 3:00 AM

I enjoyed, In Harms Way. I like to watch old documentaries, and would like to see the newer Tom Hanks movie, Greyhound.

Shakey's Hill. Had a friend, Mike, that was in Vietnam 1970. He sent me a DVD documentary called Shakey's Hill and when I asked him about it, he was with A company involved in the mission. This particular cameraman ( Norman Lloyd ) followed B company as they entered Cambodia seeking weapon and supply caches of the VC/NVA. About 1/3 of the way into this documentary a very familiar face and name pops up! Dan DIlts. We were drummers together in high school, his Dad was one of my teachers in school. Talk about floored!! I hadn 't seen Dan in 50 years and big as life, there he was. A soldier in B company, 5th battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment. Because Dan was one that had been interviewed much later in life, I knew he had made it home alive......
