You’re not a deer?

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 09 26, 2020 •  [Post 1]

Hiked up to a spot I put out some apples and sweet cob a week or so ago. It’s a nice black tail spot that I set up a one man portable blind a bit less than 150 yards away. Well, the cam captured a few deer but also show that “these” thief’s have been snacking heavy on the sweet cob :?

They love it. If i put sweet cob out for my deer the place turns into a turkey farm.

I’m seeing that. No more cob, just apples and min blocks.

sweet cob? What on earth is sweet cob? As in sweet corn? Peach cobbler? Who in their right mind puts peach cobbler out for deer? Forget the deer and eat the cobbler! :D

This. You can get a 50 lb bag of it from feed stores for around 11-12 bucks. Deer love it and obviously, turkeys

First year playing with trail cameras i dumped 2 bags of sweet cob and a deer block in july just to see what kind of bucks might show up. It was an instant bear party. A dozen or so bears came in and vaccuumed it up.

Sounds like you have a bear problem. You should probably kill a few of them.

Yeah, maybe. The thought has crossed my mind a time or two. I may buy a tag next year and give it a try
