The taxidermist sent me a picture of my 2017 Bull that is ready for pickup.

Took a while, but I am happy with the result.

Sept. 4, 2017. Hunting partner and I drove up to a glassing spot in the afternoon. Weren't there 5 minutes when he said "there is a herd". Only got a short time to look at him in the spotting scope before they fed down into the trees. Started hiking in to the general area where I saw them disappear. Was easing thru the dark timber when a huge bugle rang out. I crept closer when I started seeing cows. I could hear the bull bugling and raking trees. The cows heard me and I used a mouth call to make a cow chirp and this seemed to settle them down. I watched the cows for about 20 minutes never laying eyes on the bull as I didn't want to move. Eventually, the cows began feeding out and I figured the bull would follow. He eventually came into view and I was able to poke the barrel of my muzzleloader thru the trees and make a 40 yard shot right at dusk. Didn't hike out of there till 2 in the morning taking care of the bull.

Definitely the most exciting hunt of my life.
