Dear Abbey

Postby Swede » 03 27, 2020 •  [Post 1]

I am stuck at home where my wife is threatening me if I don't quit pestering her. If I go out, I am told I could be jailed for violating the Covid 19 quarantine. Since I know the jails must be full of old geezers like myself, that could be like getting strapped to their gurney. It is raining outside, so I am stuck inside for awhile where as mentioned earlier I am being instructed to settle down and watch tv. Worst of all my forum friends are getting fed up with my corny posts. What would you recommend under these difficult circumstances?

Don't know if you have a library card or anything to read them on( e-Book Kindle ,etc.) but most libraries now have software like Overdrive or Cyber shelf that you can checkout e-books and read them on your computer. Most of the time each check out is good for 21 days. Some are 14.
I have a Kindle Fire
I checkout about ten that keeps me going for 2-3 weeks.en ,you can take 10-15 books along and read in your tree stand. You can recharge it from your truck.

I know youre a treestand guy, but what better time to branch out than right now? Start practicing your bugling at home all day. The wife wont mind. If you get to expert level at elk calls, start practicing predator calls! Distress calls, coyote vocalizations, lion vocalizations... use your imagination!.

Or if my previous suggestion doesnt pan out, hand her an umbrella, boot her ass out the door, and kick back watching tv like a boss

The you tube was erroring

Dear Abby, dear Abby
My feet are too long
My hair's falling out and my rights are all wrong
My friends they all tell me that I've no friends at all
Won't you write me a letter, won't you give me a call
Signed bewildered
Bewildered, bewildered
You have no complaint
You are what your are and you ain't what you ain't
So listen up buster, and listen up good
Stop wishing for bad luck and knocking on wood
Dear Abby, dear Abby
My fountain pen leaks
My wife hollers at me and my kids are all freaks
Every side I get up on is the wrong side of bed
If it weren't so expensive I'd wish I were dead
Signed unhappy
Unhappy, unhappy
You have no complaint
You are what your are and you ain't what you ain't
So listen up buster, and listen up good
Stop wishing for bad luck and…

God. We just started watching this. What a disaster. I can't take my eyes away.

Well I decided to follow Saddlesore's advise. It makes sense, unlike the nonsense of driving my wife nuts bugling around the house to prepare for a tree stand hunt, or worse; throw her out and go it alone. Lefty's junk was no help either. A person with a dilemma certainly has no use for some psychological abstract babble. From Saddlesore's response I see why the Bible reminds us that with age there is wisdom. I started rereading some of C.S. Lewis' writings. Specifically I am on the Screwtape letters. I am about to start Screwtape Proposes A Toast. You jerks should read them too. They would be helpful.

In addition Today I am making my weekly venture into the grocery store. Pray that I don't come in contact with someone with Covid 19, and that there is something left on the shelves worth risking the trip inside the store.

I can't believe the hoarding that is going on. I went to the store and could not buy a five pound sack of flour. I did not look for toiler paper or hand sanitizer, but understand they are still out of that too. Some people surely need to cut back a bunch on the eating and going to the toilet. That may help with the hand cleaning problem too. It will be a win-win-win situation. :D
