Postby BaldBeaver » 12 07, 2012 •  [Post 1]

Would it be possible to get a forum on here for Conservation stuff. So that we have a plavce to share and discuss issues like wolf problems, government taking our rights away.etc.etc.

I can't speak for Elknut, and wouldn't if I could. Personally, I don't need that kind of forum because it deteriorates into just griping and complaining. Bowsite is full of that stuff, which is a big reason I hardly go there now. To Paul's and the staff's credit; this site has stayed very up beat and positive.

Baldbeaver, I have no problem with guys/gals asking about wolves or their impact on the various herd species or on the environment alone. Too, many hunters want to know what wolf populations are like in certain states & units, that's all perfectly acceptable! But, I do not like emotional or heated debates where there are no winners & can cause hard feelings towards one another. Too, I do not like mixing Politics, Religion & Hunting all together, those are more personal matters & once again emotion can play a huge roll instead of common sense thinking & never does any good arise from these things with so many views & opinions! Other hunting sites have experienced this & their track records prove needless hard feelings! Thanks & I appreciate your question but will shy away at this time from a Forum dedicated to wolves, etc.

So far Ive seen this forum as a good group of guys under "your' forum. I believe many views and opinions is a good thing,.... but too many forums it does get out of hand,.. not emotional but imaturity
In the past I was on a different forum ,.. we discussed it all,.. some views were very strong and emotions high,.. but respectful,. Nobody wrote anything they wouldnt say if we we all in a small room
