Postby Lefty » 12 03, 2012 •  [Post 1]

The MRI showed absolutly no cartlidge. Lots of bone spurs, otherwise bone on bone.
He cant believe Im not screaming in pain and can still walk , much less hunt He wanted to send me to his hip guy tomarrow

Yikes and Im going to the Orthopictic Thursday for my shoulder,.. Which I felt was way worse :(

Wow, as we get older it seems we pay for the fun we had when we were younger! (grin) Good Luck!

Gitter fixed Lefty! You have lots of time to heal up. By hunting season you'll be good as new. I wish both you and Brad the best of luck. Heal up quick guys.

i would get it fixed.

living with chronic pain and discomfort will wear down even the most upbeat spirits.

Today I had my shoulder checked out,.. better than he thought of so far.
Steroids and PT should get that back into shape

keep track of those cortisone shots. they are not exactly liver friendly.

having said that..they work!! i've had one. with simple moves that lubricate the joint, you will feel great. you will also learn the correct way to lift things. for example..lifting a heavy tool box over the bedrails of a pickup. no bueno. take the time to lower the gate..

PT does work.
below is a pic of my shoulder earlier this year.
my therapist used 'dry needling' to help too.
its not approved in some states, but if it is recognized as an approved method in your state i would recommend it

the cortisone shots work too, but can mask an issue and you coulds really do some damage when you think its all better.

Bummer cnelk. Get better soon. I am sure there are a lot of critters out in the forest that are looking forward to next hunting season, so they can match wits with you. Be sure not to disappoint them.

I was the scoutmaster of 3 of the sons of my orthopedic surgeon ( shoulder ) , we live close to each other and he keeps a good eye on me. He "cured my original shoulder pain( birsidous sp?). 5 years ago I had an unrelated surgery and woke to him yankiing on my toe,.. I know I was better taken care of because he showed up Just a normal humble guy that really knows his stuff

Believe me, I know I need to get things squared away,.. plan on loosing some weight before I do the hip as long as I can deal with the pain
