A nasty cold

Postby Lefty » 09 08, 2019 •  [Post 1]

Monday I made the comment are worked hard and was tired
Tuesday I thought maybe allergies may be getting me and was sound asleep by 9:15
Wednesday a runny nose. Sore throat, Allergies right!

I believe I was in denial : my wife suggested I “ leave and don’t come back until I have an elk”

Thursday as we walked in for an afternoon hunt I was winded hiking in
By midnight ; headache I knew I was sick
4:55 AM my daughter asked how I felt
5:45AM “Dad here is breakfast and a Monster drink” “we won’t go in the woods till it’s light”
10:40 I awake to them coming back from a hunt

We did make it for an afternoon til dark Hunt but I just couldn’t keep it going.

Saturday slept in again with intentions of hunting mid day and I could feel a cold sore coming just never made it out So I drove home for a few days to get over it

Anyway sick in September during elk season really stinks

Eh-hem. Lets not be looking down our thin little noses at tree stand hunting. It is not just for the sick and lame. :D
