Inhaling a reed call

Has anyone know it to ever happen? As I was bushwhacking up the mountain yesterday I thought about how easy it might be to inhale a reed call while gasping for air.

I have on occasion had mine make me cough/choke momentarily, although thankfully nothing more serious than that. lol

Never had it happen to me and mine stays in for months at a time. I will shift it between cheek and gum when winded...it is a scary thought thinking of inhaleing it.

I may be the exception but my calls stay in my container until I'm set up using them. On the occasions that I have a reed out and am moving (or even set up calling), I just hold the back edge of the reed between my lips with the majority of the reed sticking out in from of my face. I very rarely keep a reed inside my mouth unless it's being used. Perhaps I'm the odd duck here

I keep my call in my mouth almost all the time. even when using my Primos pack bugle.
My problem is my mouth may dry up and Im not able to make the call stick.
I havent had any problems with a call gagging me or sliding back either.
