Fireweed

Does anyone in Colorado know any good spots south of Colo. Springs to find fireweed? Coming from Lamar and I think my usual spots near Kremmling and on Grand Mesa are too far. If you hook me up with a good spot, I'll mail you a jar of fireweed jelly.

Ive never tasted fireweed,.. seems like it would be a lot of work,.. no matter how good it tastes... now Ill need to look for some stands of fireweed

The most fireweed I ever saw was around Crested Butte.

Hmmm,.. think Ill look for some fireweed,.. even if it is only a few jars of jelly

I found enough for jelly on Cordova pass road. It looks like there will be more blooming soon . I only fell down one hill and got stung once so it was a good trip. Ha ha.
