What is the maximum image size the forum will accept?

I save my pictures to a photobucket account, I believe the majority of the time they are too large to insert here using a direct link ( [IMG] [IMG/].. I see you allow attaching images under a restricted size 900x500? and I get that. I assume you are saving valuable memory.. but with direct linking I'm not sure why?


This image I was about to use in the Wild Game Cooking section, but the site here stated "unable to determine the image size"?

Am I doing something wrong or do I need to reduce all picture sizes before posting here?

Yep, please ensure images are no larger than 800 X 800 pixels and you should be fine (up to three images may be posted at a time if I remember right). The phpBB software doesn't seem to like the photo bucket links for some reason so in the past, I've saved my images I plan on posting to my desktop, resize to 800X800 pixels or less, and they work fine.
