How many people take the ivory's out of there elk? What do you do with them?

For me, I have never took the time to take them out.

I got a jar full of them .I quit doing it

A blunt stick and a rock pops em right out.
No time and no effort.

Be careful carrying them off the mountain in your back pants pocket though.
That can bite you in the a$$ if your not careful.

I had an elk ivory ring made for my wife.....well worth the invest for future hunts

I have saved some of them. I made zipper flobs (handles) for my day pack with some. They look pretty cool there.

I save them all. I made a necklace with a pendant once but no idea where that is. I have a tray on a shelf full of them right next to a pile of turkey beards.
