He Lives!!!

Or
"He's back"
Or "another year older"

or my "nemesis"
or current "dream elk"

Im worried this doesn't belong on the elk hunting forum,, Using Swedes' standard of failing or lack of succeeding with my encounters the past 4 years on this bull, I feel this belongs on the virtual campfire,
Story time
I purposely drove a couple hours with plans to look for elk yesterday . Evidently a crew of guys had been shed hunting/ATVing places there shouldn't have been driving and had somewhat tore up the lower mountain slopes Tuesday

Monday and Tuesday the mountain had temperatures in the 60's we had upper 70's on the Snake river plain I arrived at noon when it began snowing hard with cloud bursts of snow,, For a whole 4 " had accumulated however the wam ground melting the snow as fast as it was coming down,

I felt it was too risky (falling) to walk in and collect my SD card from my camera below in the tight canyon SO I grabbed a new today $24.99 Tasco Walmart trail cam and set it along the trail .
Daisy and I were hiking in,, Daisy sort of went on point, I knew she was winding deer or elk. We stopped,, looked and looked, and eased ahead slowly, peaking over each terrain feature.
Daisy sat 20 yards away,,, constantly checking the wind.
I crept over towards the edge of the old growth Timber,,, 50 feet away,,, a moose bed? there it was , a fresh bed and his big squared off prints, he didnt bust from the bed but it was a large stride as his tracks lead down into the canyon.

Game on
