I bought the Marmot Trestles 15 2 years ago and I am really happy with it. I don't think it qualifies as ultralight weighing 3 lbs. 14 oz, but it isn't heavy either. The 15 is comfortable even in the summer, I never get too hot in it. There are lighter, and more compressible bags out there for sure, but they cost quite a bit more. This has been perfect for me.

Kris,

Look at what VIAM Outdoors (sponsor here) has to offer for lightweight sleeping gear. Some very nice gear that just might answer the mail for you "and" they have a sale going on through 15 August!

I use a Big Agnes Encampment 15° bag with a BA insulated Air Core pad. Nice system.

A friend owns a top end goose down bag, another neighbor owns a top end synthetic, they bought when single and into hardcore mountaineering and winter camping. Now their sons use them for winter scout camping .
I have watched Craigslist for years for a top end bag,. once bought they dont seem to get resold :?
here one in boise
