Short season for me.

I think I mentioned that me goal for this year was a nice tender calf as I still have plenty of elk meat left over from last year. So this morning I went to one of my favorite spots. I set up and did one series of my silent calling routine. Ten minutes later, I was doing the gutless method on my elk.

I decided to try out the Fred Eichler version of gutless this year. I'll tell you what! When he said you could do each side in less than 15 minutes, he wasn't kidding. I'll see if I can post a link about it here. It's worth giving it a try if you haven't done so already.
