In my limited experience, Rocky is a midquality brand, meaning not especially durable, need replacing more often than better brands. Fit trumps all, try them on.

They used to be when they were made in Ohio, now their made overseas somewhere (china I think). The last few I bought either leaked right out of the box or leaked within 6 months, I wouldnt waste my money.

I really enjoy Kenetrek brand. They have a high arch that you'll notice right away but once they break in and your feet get used to them they are very comfortable and have great ankle support.

I know you didn't ask but you might look at Perfekt Hunters by Meindl.

Do NOT buy Rocky boots for elk hunting. Like Ghost said they used to be half decent but now are terrible. I had a guide buy a brand new pair once and the soles literally fell off in one hunt. Their Pronghorns used to be really popular. Now they leak bad and don't last. You get what you pay for and boots take a beating.
