Card capacity for gamecams

What size SD cards do you guys run in your game cams?

I've been running 8 GB & it will take thousands of photos on the one card & battery charge.

Than I guess 32's are a little over the top. The batteries will die before the card is full in the cam I have. What about wawhitey, you leave your cams out for nearly an eternity, aka longer than anybody that I know of.

Im still using an original 2. I know that held 3700 pics and the8
D size batteries were dead
does the same hold true for video?

depends on how often you check your game cams and if any free ranging cattle are in the area. they will stay on your lick until its gone and be in thousands of pics. that said 4gb or 8gb takes plenty of pics. depends on what you are doin and your camera resolution. videos take up more space. order sd cards off amazon and you' ll save a wad of cash.

Thanks guys. I was just curious what yall were using. I've been experimenting with vid's of varying length, and wide angle to regular pics, all in HD of course!

No cows where I hunt lots of squirrels. I was planning on leaving the cam for a month give or take at whatever spot I decided to leave it at, I can't help myself though- being so close- the longest it's sat is about 1 1/2 weeks ...and yes, amazon is the place to go for SD cards!

I had a 16gb in mine last week. 3286 photos and still going.

I use 16gb and have gotten over 8k pics on it. Dont really need that much memory tho. I check my cameras abt once a week so 2gb would be plenty for me.

Mostly run 16s, but i have maybe half a dozen 32s that i use on the cams that are a real pain to hike to, or that ill leave out all winter. I dont like checking them once there is snow on the ground. Dont want to leave an easy trail to them for thieves

I run 16s but have some 32s as well for when I set it on video.

I have a 2, 4, and 16. It all depends on the cameras limitation and pixel rating.
