What model did you get? Last Christmas my wife got me the 520 HcX, I love it especially with the map that shows private/public and land owners. That would have saved alot of time a couple years ago and helped put elk on the table.

my brother gave me one last Christmas. he handed it to me on top of a mountain while we were glassing for couse deer. in january..he said, "merry Christmas brother!! i charged it up for you"..;

let me tell you something. the time to read the instructions is not DURING a hunt..i was lost..i used it as a radio to talk to him. it was funny..i did use it once to ping his location and bring him his pack.

great tool!! i am not crazy about the tracking (leaving a trail of breadcrumbs) feature...or i dont know how to use it properly.

got the 610. i dont like the size and wt of it, but otherwise its really nice

it is awesome, but i got all the functions i needed for 200 less, but, if i lived out west i woulda went that route
