what is everyone shooting this year? what are your reasons. I will be going to the shop in the morning for some arrows, likely going with the CXpiledriver or might stick with the tried and true gold tip hunter xt.
I am shooting a bear encounter 60lbs @ 29" draw. I will be shooting the G5 montecs. While I always try to get as close as possible, I would like to say 50 yards and in is what I am looking at for effective lethal range.
Is there any major advantage to going with a microdiamter shaft, I feel like it could be a gimmick to get more money... which is why I may stick with the xts. As always appreciate the feedback

I am shooting Blackout X5 envy carbon arrows with 2 inch blazers. The reason: they are left over from last year, only killing squirrels the arrows I have left are in good shape. The arrows are actually made by gold tip, for bass pro, they were the nicest ones that I could afford.

Victory V1 VAPs 300 spine. Great arrow, a bit on the spending side but flight is awesome and penetration is even better

my end result may be different due to availability here, but I am leaning more and more towards the piledriver ptx from carbon express or the gold tip kinetic hunter.. bth are on par about the same for stats.. seems a lot of people are really raving about the micro diameter shafts... might as well pick some up and see how my bow likes them, worst case i go the the tried and true hunter xt before the season opener

I almost switched to that arrow this year. They did a limited edition that was called " the pink arrow project" or something like that and the entire shaft is hot pink. White wrap... why don't they make all arrows that color ?

Anyways, I've Ben shooting the Beman/Cabelas Stalker Extremes for 6 years. They're good arrows - affordable, durable, .003 straightness. Nothing fancy but, on sale, I can pick them up for around $70 a dozen. Half the cost of a lot of the other arrows...

turns out my bow is pulling 71 lbs and i have been under spined all along. I went with the CX piledriver hunter 350. The did not have the ptx, or the GT xt in my needed spine... guess lots of people are getting there hunting rigs set up.

Gold tip kinetics 26" 75 grain hit inserts with 125 grains slick trick. Shooting Mathews Z7 @ 27" 70 lbs.

Shooting FMJ's 31.5" with 100gr solid broad heads. Just did the crono the other day, 278fps.

I've used those and for the money they're dang good arrows. I'm glad I included them with the bow that I sold as I was beginning to wonder why I went with GT Kinetic XT's.

Pse has a deal with victory archery. So the arrows are called carbon force vap ext hunters. So basically the v1in a 350spine. so far I'm very impressed with them. Penetration is awesome and arrow flight is even better

Im shooting .300 spine Bloodsport FPS Hunters with a 100Gn Ramcat on the tip. total arrow weight about 410Gn.

Im shooting fmj 300 with hypodermic 100g. My weight is 84# which was a big reason for switching to the rigid fmj.
