what compound to chose?

Postby chipick » 04 21, 2015 •  [Post 1]

So I have been playing at the thought of a new bow in the next year or so, as play funds are slim right now and don't want to retune everything. My current bow is a PSE stinger set at 29.5" draw and 70lbs that I bought in 2013, and It has done me well over the years. I'm not a speed freak. I'm just looking for a bow that is a lot lighter, has a solid back wall, and doesn't have a jumpy cam. I am new to archery hunting and looking for suggestion's on what to try and what to stay away from. I'm not a die hard PSE guy I'm just looking to move up from my starter bow.

personally id have to recommend the PSE premonition HD new for 2015. I just place one on order as a backup bow to my full throttle. its short and light, 3.9lbs with a 30 5/8" ATA. perfect for hunting in the mountains. it has good speed at 345 fps ibo. it retails for 599. compare it any other bows with them stats and your paying 2-300 more for it. I will say, if I didn't like it as much as I did, the decree would be my back up bow.

I know it's been said a 100 times but you need to go to a Shop that has several brands of bows & shoot them, it will help in your decision making! (grin) Let us know what you choose, good luck!

I am a long time fan of Mathews, however I've heard nothing but great things about the elite energy 35... It will be my next bow..
