Gatta love those yard sales!!!

Postby >>>---WW----> » 08 11, 2012 •  [Post 1]

I picked up a pair of Cabela's Grotex pants that were in like new condition at a yard sale yesterday for $2 bucks.

Earlier this year, my son in law picked up a Bitzinberger fletcher for $5. So, I figured I'd go check it out just in case he missed something. And sure enough, I found a Lyman archers scale for $5 and they threw in an arrow spin tester for free.

Anyone else finding some good deals?

Hit the jackpot again this past weekend. Got a pair of like new Browning gaiters for $2, and an Uglystik for $3.

I always seem to find the yard sales where people over value their old crap. I'm not giving you $70 for your rusted old tree stand.....

I did score two game cameras recently for $40. They are working great.

My wife and I are big thrifters and we watch Uncle Craig often as well. If one can live with second hand stuff (which is most of the time just fine!) you can save thousands.

I just picked up a 21cu.ft. freezer for $50 from someone who needed to move. It is working great and now I don't have to worry about taking the meat to a friends. $700 saved!

Our entire apt is second hand furniture, much free. In my old house I had bought $2000 worth of furniture ... I don't see doing that again.

People just have to have the latest and "greatest" ... I suppose that is good for the economy but think of all the waste.
