Did your Gun Trash your truck?

Postby okanagan Elk Man » 01 22, 2015 •  [Post 1]

I had a good huntin season but crappy at the same time.
My buddy's and I always use my truck for huntin and you think they would be carefull with their guns!
Anybody got ideas on what you can use to hold your rifle in the truck?

A friend of mine has one of these. It's pretty nice. Not too expensive either. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Shooting ... t104195880

I see someone said this rifle caddy thing is for road hunting
Well I do t know about other hunters but my walking ground is 15 miles from my camp
I like to stay away from the area im hunting ..

So I like to have my gun ready when I'm going to and from my walking ground .

That rifle caddy looks like it would do the job perfect
And it's easy simple and cheap

When I ran traplines I screwed a heavy leather case to the roof of my truck
Now my lab gets the passenger seat. the gun is on the blind bag in the back seat. Two shotguns a heavy jacket between
Scoped guns go into a hard Koplin case 2nd gun goes in a case on the floor stuffed in place by the same jacket
Coyote hunting the gun is leaning on the passenger seat
