recommend me some game bags

I typically debone my elk. I have game bags that I like, they're just a little too small (it takes 6 for a mature bull). I like to carry all my game bags with me so that I can have my elk completely boned out and ready to go before I start hauling meat. Does anyone know of other game bags out there that...

- aren't too heavy (no canvas)
- Can fit at least 1/4 of a boned out bull, but also aren't ridiculously over sized.
- have straps with buckles for hanging

I have all this with my current bags, but like I said, a little too small (and now out of business). Any suggestions?

I like alaskan game bags. I have never shot a mature bull, but I have killed lots of muleys. Boned out I can get a muley in one back, reackon that translates into what your looking for in size. but they have no straps or means of hanging them by themselves.. so thats out for that part

The 24"x48" are too big for what you are looking for but the quality of these are awesome. IMO
These bags are large enough to keep bone in. The smaller sized ones would work great minus the buckle. I just used para cord to hang them. Buckles for hanging would sure make it easier by yourself. These are the only ones I have tried so cant offer any more experience. Wash and re use.

I'm sure you've heard this, but we use pillow cases we bought from Salvation Army for $.50 each. We put a whole back quarter bone and all in the case. Worked just fine.

Yep I agree, boned out buck is about the same. I'm assuming you have the elk/moose size bags or are these the deer size bags that you used?

Same Alaskan game bags. My BRO snuck off two of mine. I got an entire boned out Muley into two bags. I had just enough slack in the two bags to knot them together at the top. I just hang it off a branch at that point. The knots were not hard to untie.. B gas cleaned up sweet.

The TAG bags look pretty awesome as well. But I've never touched one.

After three seasons of use my Alaska game bags were pretty much done. Small holes and such. So I picked up a four pack of the extra-large 60 inch game bag for 22 bucks. Pretty goodbye from Cabela's.

I'd look into the TAG bags Bomb bag set. Specically designed for a boned out elk. They are light and come in a small stuff sack, I believe 10oz for the whole works. The sack with bags is maybe 3in x 4 inc and about an inch and a half wide. They are a polyester material with a draw string top. You can hang them by the draw string or use cord. They come as a 6 bag set, 4 14x34 and 2 14x20. I shot a spike and deboned he fit into three of the bags. A large bull would likely take 5-6.
