Binocular Harness

I have seen on this site in the past comments about binocular harnesses. I purchased one last year from a local sporting good store and it work great for about 1/2 of the season then the strap lost its elasticity and now my binoculars just dangle and do not stay snug to my chest. Send me a few suggestions and sites where I can get a good harness at a reasonable price.

Alaskan guide creations I have this for my vortex binos and love it I got the regular sized one $70 I believe but he also sells a larger one to store more stuff in, same one used by steve rinella in meat eater, mine don't have any Velcro or buttons just a bungy strap to secure them and they are fully enclosed, also made in America can't beat that

camofire has been having the S4 lockdown for $21, at cabelas they are around $50, very nice harness especially for that price.

I have tried several and really didn't care for most. At the present moment I am using the Rick Young harness and like it a lot. Just depends on what you are looking for.

I am looking for a durable and yet functional harness. I go on at least one elk hunt and one mule deer hunt each year. I want to keep my hands free and keep my binoculars tight to my chest. I don't want something real bulky. I once saw a harness that was simple but functioned well. I am still looking.

When you cough up the money for Swarovski 10X42 ELs you're pretty picky. I've tried lots of brands over the years. I think I've had my Alaska Guide Creations bino harness for about 10 years now. The first day I used it I knew it was going to be the last brand I ever bought. I love it. I know that a few folks think it is a bit bulky but it's no bigger than your binos as long as you don't stuff the front packet. No problems with the elasticity of the straps. No zipper failures. Never had my binos fall out even with the flap unsnapped.

The side pockets are perfect for my wind detector (Smoke in a Bottle) and a lens cloth. Rear pocket for extra diaphragm calls. The bullet holders in the front pocket are awesome. Front and center where you need them.

Snug down the strap and you can do the belly crawl with them tight to your chest. And... made in the US of A and Jarrett backs his product up. Great guy.

I think I am going to go with the Crooked Horn. It fits my budget and it will do what I want. Thanks for the feedback!

Watch videos of the different harness's. Anything will hold binos when your standing up. I had badlands and it's poor. Went to KUIU.

I bought a bino harness from Kings about 13 years ago. The elastic was getting weak so I bought industrial elastic webbing. ,, As I was starting to remove the webbing of I tightened(shortened ) the length, seems to work fine again

You'll be replacing that Crooked Horn. Doesn't hold the binos snug to your chest because it's not even designed to do that. The binos move up and down the straps freely. Also, the elastic will eventually go. That harness is the Wal Mart of bino harnesses.
