Belt Tool?

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 05 28, 2014 •  [Post 1]

So, what do you cats carry on your belt for your elk hunt/camp? My old, basic leatherman has finally worn out and I'm looking at getting a new belt tool. Recommendations for a quality, perhaps somewhat lighter than a bowling ball, belt tool?

I have a Gerber Multitool. Maybe not the latest and greatest but I've for a couple years and it has held up.

I am not much of a belt tool person. For me it is not a choice of which, but why pack one? I do carry a small pocket knife, which seems like enough, until I get back to camp or the truck..

I don't wear anything on my belt when I have my pack on. But I keep it in my pack and maybe on my belt in camp. I like Gerber better than Leatherman. but none of them last forever so I buy cheap Wal Mart ones beat the tar out of them and buy a new one when they bite the dust. The thing I like about Gerber is they have a spring to open the pliers. Convenient.
