What do you look for in a quiver?

Number of arrows it holds?

Quiet?

Lightweight?

Do I really have to spend $80-$100 of a quiver or will the $50 quiver do okay?

For me the one thing I want is the ability to flip it 180 deg so I can lean my bow on the ground and a tree and the arrow nocks aren't getting filled with dirt. I got a G5 quiver which has a rubber stud that the quiver clams on. It acts like a damper a bit and and the quiver can be clamped 360 deg to bow. It also comes with an extra holder you can screw in a tree to hold it while stand hunting. Lots of places don't allow screws or nails in trees so I cut the wood screw part off and drilled 2 holes in the side and mounted it to my climber. Think it was 50$ or so.

Oh yeah it is also adjustable for height as well, centering your arrows to the bow to a point.

I personally use a Cat Quiver. It is a back pack with quiver attached to it ! I do not like having arrows on my bow.

I like bow quivers. And it has to the type that has two attachment points. One top and one bottom. In other words, a two piece quiver. They just seem to be more rugged and more ridged than the one piece jobs.

I had a Tightspot on the last rig that I sold! I think I will put one on my new E32. They are rugged, quiet, and hold arrows, well- tight.

X2. Finally broke down and bought the Tight Spot for my new bow. This was the first 2 week elk hunt that I didn't lose any arrows while cruising through oakbrush and stuff. Tight Spot has my vote.

I'm on the "Tightspot" bandwagon as well. It's a spendy little bugger, but I have been very impressed. I honestly like the way I shoot my bow better with it on than off. It feels quieter to me. I also like its low profile design. It is going to set you back more than the others, however. Just my two cents, but I personally feel it's worth the extra $$. (Approx $130)

Tightspot as well, never had a problem since converting to the tightspot, deer or elk hunting either way.
