Ripcord Drop Away Arrow Rest

After the season was over I needed to send my bow back to the factory to have some work done. In the process of removing the arrow rest, I damaged the cord. I thought I could replace it with some nocking loop cord I have. To make a long story short, I took the rest apart, couldn't get back together right, and the cord I have won't fit. I called Ripcord and they said just send it in and they will fix it. No charge.
I got a brand new drop away rest today. It took only 7 days total turn around time. I am elated over that, and thought I would tell you hunters in case quality and service are important.

X2. I've had great success with the Ripcord company. Yes sir, the cord has to put on just right and needs to be the right diameter. I know a few guys that have had trouble with the cord "fraying" right where it goes into the rest (when the rest is not cocked back), including myself. It seems to rub right there sometimes. A call to Ripcord and they sent me a few new cords and I had my local shop put it back on and no more fraying trouble. I'm thinking perhaps is wasn't installed correctly the first time? Not sure. The only other problem I've had is the arrow holder arm on top (the one that keeps the arrow from coming up and out of the rest if you tilt your bow or for some reason, turn it upside down). I've had two of them break but I'm think it's because they don't fit quite right on my Alpine (kind of torqued when installed). Sure like the rest and the great customer service from this company though.

Phantom 16: The first thing I do is remove that top holder. I have never missed it. When it is on it seems to be rather useless at best, and often a nuisance.

I agree. I replaced it a few times but eventually, realized it doesn't really have a significant value added.

That's the first thing I do also. That little thing is just in the way anyhow and I don't intend to turn my bow up side down anyhow. Great minds think alike! LMAO!

I just ordered one for my wife, my sons bow is already fitted with one. the first thing I did as others have mentioned. the containment arm was removed. I figured it was in the way more than a help.
