Zen Ray vs Vortex

So, I was dead set on getting a new set of Vortex Viper HD 10x42. I already have a Vortex Viper 4-16 PST scope for my rifle and I love it.

Then I stopped at my local pro shop and the owner made me look through a pair of Zen Ray ED-3's. He told me that the glass in the ED-3's is equal to the quality of the Vortex Razors . . . and the Zen Ray's are $200 cheaper than the Vipers.

Does anybody have any field experience with the Zen Ray's or the Vipers?
