GPS Radio combos

I was looking at GPS Radio combo units and am trying to get some suggestions. The Rino looks like a really good unit but do you need all the bells and whistles it has on it? Appreciate some feedback

If you party hunt and the other guys have Rinos, the ability to locate your other party members is very helpful. Besides this, I would typically recommend a good handheld, and you can always pick up some 2-way radios. I realize a person wants to minimize what you carry but the Rinos are quite spendy.

I love the bells and whistles. My Rino 655t can text to others with Rinos, weather reports, alarm clock, solonar tables, sending your waypoints,...the list goes on. But if no one else in your party has a Rino, some of the best features, are useless.
I would think if others in your group has one, it's worth it, if not two ways are cheap.

We have 3 in camp, and I think they are worth every penny. As Kirch says, being able to track your partners is a great feature. We will often just split up if still hunting and hunt to a predetermined waypoint one of us has created and shared. If you all have 655T you can take a pictures and send them too. Just hope you don't have Anthony Weiner in your party.

Im with Bobcat on this, I also have the 655t and its way better than any of the other Rino's Ive owned. I started using them when they first came out to keep track of my boys when they were younger but the gps left alot to be desired. With the 650 or 655t you still have 5 watts of power plus an awesome gps unit that I havent been able to get it to lose signal yet in the mountains...
