Easton Injexion arrows

Thinking about making the change from my AAC pro hunter to the Easton carbon injexion arrow. The Injexion is supposed to give you better penetration due to the slim design. Being a short draw bowhunter, I need all I can get in regards to kinetic energy. Any body shooting these arrows and what do you think? I will be using the solid broadhead also.

I don't have any experience with them, but I'm sure they will perform well. Sounds like a solid setup, no pun intended. I really liked those heads, just a little pricey for me.

I've been thinking about going to the GT Kinetics as opposed to the standard sized arrows.

I think it would be a good setup, pricey though as you are right femoralarchery. I know shot placement is key but it is nice to have all those other little advanages, elk are big tough animals.

I'm shooting VAPs that are small diameter. The penetration is ANNOYING! I'm blowing fletchings off shafts because my club's targets can't stop my arrows. I have no doubt you'll have great penetration with the Easton.

What size ACC are you shooting? The Injections are a lil bit liter in weight then the ACC's, and you wont really experience that much in penetration going to Injection shafts. If you want beter penetration, then look at the broadhead youre shooting and shaft weight and FOC. Just going to a lil bit skinner shaft isnt going to give you that more penetration, especially compared to the ACC's...

The VAP's are nice shafts, but I get as good penetration from my Blck Eagle Rampages, better outsert system...plus I can use an ACC half out insert in my Black Eagles. In the VAP shafts, the ACC inserts dont fit as good...

The Injexion is a great shaft. I'm shooting the ACC Pro Hunters with Solids... and if it weren't for the head change I'd swap to the Injexion. Its actually a bit heavier arrow, so that coupled with the smaller diameter should yield great results!

I can't say I have shot anything with the solid broadhead, yet, but the design sure inspires confidence!

I do love my ACCs for deer, of course I am using expandables on our deer here in Arkansas and pentration is not too much of an issue here, a good deer in my part of the state might push 200lbs live weight. I am also looking at the durabillity of the injexions for backcountry hunting. Appreciate all the info guys!!!

Truth be told, the ACC is a very strong arrow... don't know that you're gaining durability by switching. Maybe some penetration, but not a significant amount. Your ACC will push thru an Elk with a good shot. I wouldn't hesitate to use them... I'm using the same setup

Thats what Ive been saying...the ACC's are a great shaft, and if you see that much more penetration in the Injections compared to the ACC's, then you have a tuning issue. The Injections aint that much smaller in diameter then the ACC's.

Agree with u totally buglmin and eltaco. I do like playing with archery equip and have been doing so since the early 90s. The ACCs are a little more touchy due to the aluminum core as far as durability goes, the injexion is totally carbon. They are both great arrows and I have killed many deer and a few elk with the ACC, just thinking of trying something new and probably will. I am shooting ACC 390s right now and definitely going to the solid broadhead this year for New Mexico elk.

Thats what I do, get to shoot and play with a lot of different arrow shafts throughout the year. I was never really impressed that much with the Injexion shafts and the price. Never really saw an improvement in penetration over the FMJ with the Injexion shafts to jusify the cost. All my experimenting led me to want to shoot the Ramage shafts. Im going to be shooting the Steel Force Phat Heads or the Wac'em 125 grain heads the most this year. My recurve loves the Wac'em heads a lot!!

buglmin, that is my next step is a transfer to the recurve. If i was going to Colorado over the counter this year instead of New Mexico, I would have done it. I am still hunting Colorado but i am spending alot of extra time on the New Mexico hunt, too hard to get a tag there anymore.
