elk urine

Does anyone use them and are they affective? I can only think of one time ever hearing anyone use them.

I used it in the past. I think the bests trials were when I soaked a strip of unscented toilet paper with store bought elk urine and draped it on a bush in the draw near my tree stand. I never found it made a difference, but I find the idea of misting, which was described in an earlier thread, to be interesting. Of coarse since I was expermenting with elk urine, I have gone to urinating on the ground from my tree stand. That makes no difference either. I kill elk from my stand with the same regularity that I did when I used to pee in a container while hunting. I have had deer come in and browse on the bushes I urinated on just a few minutes before. My advice is to save your money for something that is more useful.

Lag, I bet there are a lot of side benefits to covering yourself in stale elk urine. You get the whole tent to yourself. No one is begging to ride around with you. Even dinner can be eaten in peace and quiet.
